The Mind Dangling thing

How Did This Happen?

One of my friends is very good with numbers. One day he was showing us a maths trick.Me and two other of my friends except him were there . He asked three of us to choose a number and then add 9 to it.And then to square it. Now he asked u to subtract the original number and subtract 61 again from the result. Then he asked to multiply the answer by 2 and add 24 and subtract 36 times the original number. And then asked us to take square root of that number.
THe real game started after this.He told us the final result we got and to our amazement we all got the same result....CAN u explain this?
